summer summer summer

A few of my (beauty) summer goals;

#1: Improve my skin (by finding a skin care routine and products that work well for me--think I'm on the way there). I hate wearing makeup (just to cover my facial imperfections. Yeah, I'm talking to you facial redness and acne scars.) Time to ditch the foundation and go bare faced (okay, well maybe not completely barefaced, I will use some concealer and illuminator, but I'm cutting it to the basics here my beauties.) BARE FACED SUMMER!

#2: Find a haircut, style and colour that is easy, chic and works for me. (I want to look good, but I'd prefer to be lazy when it comes to getting ready and I don't like spending much time getting ready.) I'd rather roll out of bed and go.

#3: Find my style. I think it's effortless (and comfy) chic. Simple, euro-inspired, basic/neutral colour pallet (with the odd exception) because wearing colour makes me anxious and uneasy (yes, odd I know.) I've started to create a list of the basics I will need, and then go from there. Boyfriend jeans, leopard print flats, wrap skirt and the list goes on ♥

Current favourite fashion blogs

Hola chicas! So today I am sharing with you my current favourites of fashion blogs. Some of them I have recently come across and some I have followed for a while. I will post the links to their blogs and maybe say a few words about the blogger.

BLOGGERS

I) Sincerely, Jules
I love her California easy chic looks. So simple, laid back and breezy!

II) This Time Tomorrow
This girl has some serious pizzaz! Her style is experimental and constantly changing along with her mood. It's inspirational!

III) Bartabac
BARTABAC! BARTABAC! BARTABAC! OMG! Looooove this woman! Her style is so similar to my own, and its wonderful (and inspiring) to see how she pieces together her outfits.

IV) Come Over To The Dark Side (COTTDS)
...we have cookies, and STYLE! This girls style is so bad ass! :P

V) Frassy
Simple, Creative, Chic!

VI) Lovely Pepa
I currently have a love/hate relationship with Alexandra of Lovely Pepa. I love her photos (due to her photographers great work), but she is becoming more superficial and fake...and I don't enjoy that. (and she REALLY can't take constructive criticism very well. I calmly and politely commented about my opinion on her increasing list of designer items and she blocked me from making future comments. If you can't deal with people who aren't praising you, there is a problem girly.)

VII) Tuula
This beautiful Aussie lady, travels the world and her outfits are inspired by her locations. WHAT STYLE AND BEAUTY!

VIII) The Wearist
Finally! A realistic blog! :P <3 LOVE LOVE LOVE <3

IX) Kayture
Young Swiss blogger who has hit the big-time with blogging. Working with Louis Vuitton, Dior, etc. A lot (okay...ALL) of her wardrobe is totally out of reach for me, but I like her elegant and ladylike style.

This easy chic gal is the way to go!

XI) Harper and Harley
This easy breezy Aussie shows that you don't have to have a thigh gap to have clothes look MAGNIFICENT! on your body.

Fashion Blogger Crush: Sincerely Jules

Hola chicas! Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I am running around like a mad woman trying to find a job for the summer! FINGERS AND TOES CROSSED FOR GOOD LUCK!

Here is my second post in my Fashion Bloggers Crush series. My first post on it can be viewed hereSo today's star on my blog is Julie from Sincerely, Jules. I'm taking a picture

Chinese garden in Vancouver

Hola chicas! So the other day I posted some photos from my hike and of Vancouver. So I thought I would share with you some of my favourite pictures I have taken. I am in no way a talented photographer. I just love photography and the beauty that it can capture. One day I would looooove to own a Nixon or Canon DSLR (haven't quite decided yet). I have not edited these photos. If they have an effect on them its because I turned it on before I took the photo, so that it would have that effect.

My trip to Spain was the highlight of my ENTIRE LIFE! and I can't wait to go back again!!

VANCITY

Jericho Beach, Vancouver, B.C., Canada

Hola chicas!
So I went home to visit my family, especially my mom, for Mother's Day. I was only home for a day and a half but it was nice to see my family and nice to be home after not being home for just over a year. Pampered my mom as best I could for Mothers Day. Gave her a foot message and painted her toe nails while she listened to some of her favourite music.

After that I headed to Vancouver, where I currently am. Yesterday I did some exploring with a friend of mine that lives here, and today I have been resting because I was feeling a bit under the weather this morning. I'm hoping I will hear about the museum job I applied for, or I will be going back home. Wow, it's a stressful time. Just waiting...and if it doesn't happen I have to figure out other plans. Oh boy!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend with your mothers and a nice first half of the week. I will leave you with some photos from my hike I took with my family when I was visiting them, and some photos of my adventure around parts of Vancouver yesterday.

 What a lovely spring day!

China Town! I thought the apple (which was already there) played a nice contrast with the white statue.

I think this is my favourite photo I took (above). It's so simple, and i love the colours, angle, etc.

Run down and aged, but beautiful.
